Learn the basics of free-motion quilting in a hands-on, supportive class. You will cover sewing machine set-up, strategies for success, and five basic designs that do not require marking. Leave with a new confidence and the urge to quilt a whole quilt yourself. A $10 deposit is required to sign up, the remaining $50 is due the teacher at the time of the class.

This is a first class for beginners. In this five week course, you will learn how to use the rotary cutter, how to piece accurately by finding the perfect quarter inch, and the correct way to iron your blocks.

Spend the day learning to make these wonderful stars, they can be scrappy or all the same, either way, they are wonderful. Perfect for beginners who have taken a beginning quilting class previously. Must be able to have a solid 1/4" seam and cutting skills.

We will be getting together and making a simple quilt then we will be making our quilt sandwich and then following up with the Edge to Edge Quilting technique and patterns from Christine of Amelie Scott Designs. This simple technique gives you amazing results that look like a very talented long arm quilter finished your quilt. But, surprisingly it was all done with your embroidery machine. I rarely teach a class more than once but this class was so popular that we will be furthering what we learned with this great embroidery technique and making a different project this time learning the exact calculations for the proper placement and hooping for each quilt. A $10 non-refundable fee is used to reserve your space, the remaining $40 is due to the teacher at the time of the class.

Marie Madeiros will be teaching how to make this fun Orange Peel Table Topper. This table topper is a great beginner-intermediate project so come dip your toes in the sewing and quilting pond. You will be learning quite a few techniques including piecing blocks,quilting and basic applique application.
